On the day of testing, we need to connect our Yealink&#8217;s Voice Port into Cisco Catalyst and our PCs via the Yealink&#8217;s Port (<strong>Cisco Catalyst &#8212;&#8212;- Yealink&#8212;&#8212;PC).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">The problem happens when we knew that Yealink IP Phone doesn&#8217;t support separated VLAN (Voice and Data) on Cisco Catalyst because Cisco Catalyst can&#8217;t read CDP from Yealink IP Phone.\u00a0Yealink IP Phone is using LLDP instead of CDP because CDP is a Cisco Proprietary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Before going to the configuration steps, we need to know that in order Yealink to be able to communicate with Cisco Catalyst &#8212; the port on cisco catalyst need to be configured as trunk and we need to enable the LDDP, and VLAN ID on Yealink.<\/p>\n<p>Below are the steps of the each configuration for Yealink and Cisco Catalyst.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Yealink IP Phone<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Enabling the LLDP, and VLAN ID<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jaringankita.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Yealink_Conf_1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1985\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jaringankita.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Yealink_Conf_1-300x77.png\" alt=\"Yealink_Conf_1\" width=\"300\" height=\"77\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jaringankita.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Yealink_Conf_1-300x77.png 300w, https:\/\/www.jaringankita.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Yealink_Conf_1.png 670w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1. Log into the web user interface using the administrator credential.<br \/>\n2. Click on <strong>Network &gt; Advanced<\/strong><br \/>\n3 Enable the <strong>LLDP<\/strong> by selecting the drop down menu into <strong>Active<\/strong><br \/>\n4. Leave the Packet Interval to default setting (60s)<br \/>\n5. Fill in the VLAN ID associate with the Cisco Catalyst VLAN database. In this case, we are using VLAN ID 200 for VOICE and VLAN ID 100 for DATA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Cisco Catalyst Switch<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">1. Create the VLAN database , in this case we created VLAN ID 200 and VLAN ID 100.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>2.
